ENERGY!!!!!!!!!!!

What do sports and coffee have in common? Energy! Granted they are different types of energy, but energy nevertheless. Energy is the capacity of a physical system that works. For all you teenagers out there, hold on to your UGG boots and pumpkin spice lattes because what I'm about to tell you may freak you out:

(Yes I created that ^^^ Best Meme Ever!)

What? What is this madness I speak of? Well, let me tell you that when your parents say you have a lot of potential, indirectly they could be calling you fat. I'm joking of course, I know you aren't fat and so what if you are? I'm accepting! =) Moving on... Potential energy, the energy that is stored up inside you waiting come out. Like when you are holding a pencil high up in the air? That's potential energy.! Alison (Teen Wolf all the way! <3) is displaying potential energy as she pulls the arrow back, ready to release the energy with the bow and arrow.

Kinetic Energy is the object has due to its motion. It varies based on mass and speed, along with potential energy. Kinetic energy can be transferred between objects.. Like a pendulum! If that makes sense. See, one ball in a pendulum hits four others and the energy goes straight through and causes the last ball to release the energy. I guess you can say this energy comes in like a wrecking ball. Haha Miley Cyrus jokes. But seriously in a way she is displaying kinetic energy. Technically we all 'came in like a wrecking ball.' Oh God. Help us.

See? Cool huh?

Guys guess what! If you weren't interested yet I have something awesome to tell you. Energy can't be created or destroyed just transferred or stored. Like the pendulum! Ok so you guys can let go of your UGGs now.I hope this helped, but as I usually say here is a song! It isn't by the same guy so bare with me here. Click Here

That's all for now folks! Byeeeeeee xx-G

The United States of Matter!

Behold the great states of matter that hopefully you learned about in like the third grade, but if not, here I am to help you! Technically there are four states of matter, yet again, your teacher has sugar coated the truth from you. These states never change meaning they keep their physical properties. Like squishing a strawberry, it may be flat but it's still a strawberry! There are: Solids, Liquids,Gases, and Plasmas.

Solids -
  • tightly compacted
  • Shape and volume are stable
  • packed closer than liquids and gases

Liquids -
  • free to flow
  • has a definite volume
  • no definite shape
Gases -
  • Matter that moves randomly
  • No definite volume of mass

Plasma
  • electrically charged gas
  • positively charged ions and unbound electrons.
  • Three forms known on Earth: lightning, fire, and neon signs that say 'Open'

And let's not forget the substance you called a soliquid as a kid. Things like pudding and cake batter that are thick too be liquid but too runny to be solid? Yeah those are called colloids.  Next we have condensation, sublimation, and deposition. After a hot shower or something , usually, I'm talking 9/10 times you take a shower (here's to hoping you all take one...), the mirror is fogged up. That fog is condensation, or a gas desperately trying to go back into a liquid. Ah yes, sublimation, my personal favorite. When a gas straight to a solid. No liquid. I guess you could say it cut out the middle state of matter. Oh that was a bad joke. Any who, dry ice is a perfect example. It's frozen carbon dioxide, not to mention if it makes direct contact it hurts... a lot. Like your skin will burn. So don't do it. Please. Last but not least, technically, is deposition. Deposition is the CONCEPT of a gas going straight into a solid. Like ice crystals and such!

Ok well I have to go now! I hope I helped somewhat! If this works as it did on my laptop then the pictures are hyperlinks just press Ctrl and click and it should lead you there. Here is a nice song for you guys! Have  nice week and check out my previous post about the most awesome invention ever! xx - G
